Questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Give your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or similar) your key and the link api.bettorodds.co/docs, then ask for what you want, like "show me tonight's NBA odds at every book." That guide is written for your assistant to follow.
Can I use it right inside Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Add api.bettorodds.co/mcp as a custom connector and sign in with your key. Then just ask in the chat, no code at all. It works in Cursor and Claude Code too.
What's a request?
Each time your project asks us for odds, that's one request. Requests that fail don't count.
What happens if I hit my limit?
Your project stops getting odds until your allowance resets with your next billing period. You're never charged extra. Or ask your AI to move you to a bigger plan: it tells you the price and asks before anything is charged.
Can I change plans?
Yes, and you keep the same key. An upgrade starts right away and credits what you've already paid. A downgrade takes effect at the end of your billing period. Your AI can also start or upgrade a plan with your key after asking you, and you can undo that within 24 hours.
When does your history go back to?
July 29, 2026, and it grows every day. History comes with Pro (5,000 history requests a month) and Research (no limit).
Where should I keep my key?
Treat it like a password: keep it out of anything public, like a website's code or a shared project. If your AI builds a website for you, it has to call us from a backend function, and our guide tells it how.
What if a book's odds are out of date?
We label every book as live or stale, so old odds never pass as live ones.
Can I resell the data?
No. Use it in your own projects, but don't resell or redistribute the raw data.
Is this betting advice?
No. This is a data service: we don't take bets or recommend them. Prices can change or be wrong, so check them with the sportsbook before relying on them.
